Payment Due

You pay, I bake! Full payment is required up front so that I can source any needed ingredients, the perfect packaging, cutters, spectacular sprinkles, fabulous food colors, etc. Your payment will reserve your pick-up date too!

Inspiration

Thanks tons for sending those inspo pictures! They are just that – inspiring. But your cookies/cakes may not be perfect replicas – we’ll try to keep it close.

 

Pictures are worth a thousand words…

But they are not always accurate. Colors and lighting in photos may be slightly different than what you may end up with. Also, sizing in photos can be tricky to determine.

 

Copycats

Copyright images (think Star Wars and Peppa Pig) are protected and I won’t be able to replicate them baked goods (who wants a cookie controversy, right?). We can make a similar color palette though so let’s talk!

 

No Ghosts

(I’m easily spooked). To get your order just right, I may need to ask you questions.  Please reply to my messages promptly – otherwise, I may just have to wing it. Questions for me? Please give me a couple business hours to reply – I might be covered in dough!

 

Cutoff for Changes

Decisions are tough! But we’re here to help. Order changes can be made until 2 weeks prior to pickup. After that, all change requests may be denied, and if accepted, a small fee will apply.

 

Pick-up Dates and Times

Pick up times are set upon ordering. This is because other customers need their goodies too, and because I have other commitments and responsibilities.  Make sure to put that pick-up in your calendar!

 

No show = No goodies

Your baked goods are best enjoyed fresh. Not showing up to the agreed upon pick-up time, forfeits your order.  Need to reschedule your pick-up? No problem! Please reach out at least 2 days prior to your pickup time.

 

No Delivery

All orders are pick-up only, in Santa Cruz CA.  

 

It’s All Yours Now

Once you pick-up your order (thanks again, by the way!), what happens to your baked goods is all on you! Keep ‘em safe, keep ‘em level, and keep ‘em away from the parking lot cart returns.

 

Achoo! Allergies?

Baked goods are often made with foods that can be known allergens. While I can do my best to accommodate, I can’t guarantee zero cross contamination. 

 

Cottage Food Laws

This order has been made in a home kitchen that is licensed (Permit #21085), but not inspected by the Santa Cruz County Environmental Health Department. Our kitchen is not 100% nut free, egg free, dairy free, or gluten free - but I do my absolute best to minimize risks.

 

In Sickness and in Health

While death will never do us part, you’re consuming food and with the consumption of anything (including that bottle of wine last night) there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities – albeit hopefully far reaching.

Product Photography

Say Cheese!! We love to photograph and share these pretty sweet lookin’ sweets. If you do not want your order in the spotlight, please let me know at the time you place your order. Secrets are safe with me.

In a hurry?

While I can’t accommodate all last minute orders, I will make my best effort to. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 5 days will require a rush fee.

Price Adjustments

Prices are often dictated by ingredient costs. I’m always trying to provide the best tasting cookies to my clients. This also means that I can’t honor old pricing from previous orders (because the grocery store won’t honor their old butter prices – darn it).

​

Covid Care

We know that you can’t control when you have come in contact with a person who has Covid, and we want to work with you. Need to reschedule your event? Contact us asap so we can discuss options.

​

Weather Clause

If pickup is impossible due to inclement weather, your order will be frozen for a later pickup date. Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered due to weather, but we will make sure your order is kept as fresh as possible!

Refunds for Cancellation

I can offer partial refunds if your order is canceled 4 or more days ahead of the pickup. Unfortunately, after that time, I cannot offer refunds as I may have started making the order. But that means you get the goodies!

Refunds for Dissatisfaction

While we want you to love our order, if you are not satisfied with it, please return all uneaten items within 24 hours so we can assess their condition and troubleshoot any problems. We will then determine if a credit may be issued for a future order.

Pay means Yay!

Once you’ve submitted (awesome) payment for your (awesome) order because you’re awesome, you’re accepting the above terms. Which is awesome because my baked goodies are awesome!
